As most of you know, we are organizing a trip to Europe in the spring of 2016. If you are interested in joining us on this trip, there are still a few spots available. Please come to see us in the counselling centre for more information.

Here are a couple of award opportunities that you might be interested in!
Loran Award: In school deadline is Friday, October 9th, 2015.
Students who are planning to study at a Canadian University are eligible to apply for this award.
Criteria: Applicants must be well rounded students who demonstrate character, promise of leadership and strong commitment to service in the community.
The school may nominate up to 3 students. If selected these 3 students will be sponsored by the school. Those not sponsored by Burnett may still send in their application as a direct applicant. See the website for details.

Thank you for your patience as we go through course change forms. Counsellors will continue to make course changes next week and see Grade 8-12 students with regards to their timetable. Please wait until you are called down to the Counselling Centre.

School begins on Tuesday, September 8th for all students with an assembly in the gym. After the assembly students will be dismissed to their homeroom.

Grade 9 and 10 @ 9:00 am
Grade 11 and 12 @ 10:30 am
This year, due to the lateness in the timetable building we will begin to see Grade 12’s only on Tuesday, September 8th and Wednesday, September 9th. We will also see students with incomplete schedules, or new students.
As in previous years, grade 8 to 11 students should complete a course request change forms. These forms will be available from your homeroom teachers. Completed forms should be returned to the main office and we will work as quickly as we can to process it.
Please note: Course request change forms will be accepted until 3:30 pm on Thursday, September 10th.

Hello incoming grade 8’s…..
We hope you enjoyed the Grade 7 Orientation last Friday. Thank you for attending and for confirming your course requests for next year. We look forward to working with in 2015/16 and wish you a great relaxing summer.
We understand that there are errors on some of your TVR’s.
In order to ensure that your universities/colleges are receiving the correct marks, we are asking you to review your TVR and Unofficial Transcript of Grades on the BC Ministry Website.
All courses and grades should be carefully checked, as well as your ability to complete graduation requirements.
If you see an error in any of your information, please print out these documents and circle the mistakes, and then see your counsellor.
We know that this is a stressful time of year and we are here to support you.
Richmond Summer School 2015
Just to let you know that Summer School Registration for full credit courses start on May 3rd and on June 25th for Remedial courses. More information is posted in the Counselling Centre you can also directly go to the Richmond Summer School Website.
Program Planning Sheets are now overdue. If you have not yet handed in your form please do so, as courses will be imputed into the computer over Spring Break.
